Our Commitment

Cultivating community leaders through the unique 6-year experience the Camelback NCL chapter is developing strong women leaders to serve and impact our community today and for generations to come.

How the Program Works

National Charity League provides opportunities for mothers, known as Patronesses, and daughters, known as Ticktockers, to enjoy both mother-daughter and peer-to-peer relationships.  The purpose is to inspire and empower women to succeed as confident, well-rounded and socially aware individuals contributing in their communities.

The Camelback Mountain Chapter fulfills the NCL mission to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.

  • Community Service:  Promote social awareness to meet the needs of others and become servant leaders in the community.
  • Leadership:  Maximize potential to become a confident leader and model for others in the community.
  • Cultural:  Nurture positive identity of self with purpose in society and appreciate the differences in others.

Prospective members need to be sponsored by a current member of the National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) Chapter they wish to join.

If you know someone in NCL, talk to her about her Chapter’s boundaries, membership obligations and membership drive timeline.

If you do not know someone in NCL, Inc. you are invited to submit the following form.

Ticktocker (daughter)

During the developmental and formative years between 7th and 12th grade, Ticktockers are exposed to the standards and ideals that generations hold to be important and worthy of preservation. The Ticktocker experience is designed to be a small group leadership program that provides opportunities for each developing young woman to know the joy of helping others, to learn tolerance and kindness, to mature and build confidence and to make friends while sharing and participating in these activities in a safe and comfortable age appropriate environment.

Patroness (mother)

Provides the opportunity to work alongside our daughters as their perspectives broaden about the world around them while having the satisfaction of working with other talented women to help our chapter and community thrive.
